GilMar Hutte

Our unique detached holiday home is located in a charming village in the wide Gailtal valley in the west of Carinthia, the sunniest province of Austria, at the foot of the Plocken Pass leading to Italy.

Both in winter and summer, the immediate surroundings of Kötschach-Mauthen offer unique opportunities for active vacationers as well as those who want to enjoy peace and nature.

In winter, there is usually a lot of snow and many cold nights. Summer, which sometimes starts in spring, often has more than average warm days with plenty of sunshine.

The cabin (Hutte)

Entrance with access to toilet and shower, bedroom with a double bed and bunk bed (max 3 people). There is also a washer/dryer combination behind a sliding wall.

From the small hallway, access to a cozy living room with an open kitchen with built-in appliances and a spacious dining area. From the living room, access to the covered terrace with views of the slopes and the mountains surrounding Kötschach-Mauthen.

Living room 

Completely and tastefully furnished. The living room with an open kitchen has three large windows. The covered terrace offers a tranquil view of the surroundings and the mountains. From the living room, there is a direct view of the slopes. There is a cozy electric pot stove and a TV with WiFi connection.

Kitchen

Small, modern open kitchen with a ceramic cooktop, convection oven, dishwasher, and Nespresso machine.

Bedroom 1
Bedroom on the ground floor, at the rear of the house, with views of greenery and mountains, equipped with a double bed and bunk bed.

FIRST FLOOR

Two spacious bedrooms with sinks, one of which has access to the large balcony. From the balcony, you have a beautiful view of the surroundings.

Bedroom 2
Very spacious bedroom on the upper floor at the front, with a double box spring bed and sink, with access to a large balcony with a stunning view of the mountains.
